Property Maintenance
Patch-Ups and Painting
A wall full of small marks reads as a neglected property, even when everything else is in order. Patching and touch-up painting is the cheapest way to pull presentation back — and it is exactly the work that gets deferred indefinitely.
Overview
What this service involves
This is cosmetic repair work: filling and sanding holes where fixtures came off the wall, patching dents and knocks in plasterboard, repairing scuffed corners and skirtings, and touching up paint so the repair disappears into the wall rather than announcing itself.
It is most often triggered by a changeover — a tenant moving out, a property going to market, an office handing back a tenancy — or picked up during routine maintenance before the marks accumulate into a full repaint.

- Combined with an end-of-lease clean as one presentation reset
What to know
This is cosmetic and presentation work — patching, minor surface repair and touch-up painting. It is not structural repair, and it is not major or full repainting of a building. Where damage indicates a structural, moisture or building-compliance issue, or where the work would require a licensed trade under NSW law, it is referred to or coordinated with an appropriately licensed contractor. Touch-ups blend best where the original paint is known and in reasonable condition; on aged or sun-faded paint, a touched-up area can still be visible and a full wall or room may be the better result.
Why NMG
Why clients engage us for this
- Patching and touch-up handled together, so the repair isn't left showing
- Honest call on when a touch-up will show and a full wall is the better option
- Fits alongside cleaning and rubbish removal in a between-tenancy reset
- Structural and licensed work referred out rather than attempted
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Will the touch-up match the existing paint?
Where the original paint is known and still in reasonable condition, usually closely. On faded or aged paint, a patch can remain slightly visible — in that case painting the full wall gives a better result, and we'll tell you which situation you're in.
Do you do full repaints?
The service is patching, cosmetic repair and touch-up work. For a full repaint of a property we'd coordinate an appropriately licensed or specialist painter rather than overstate what this service is.
Can this be done between tenancies?
Yes, and that's the most common timing — patch-ups, touch-ups and the vacate clean scheduled together so the property is ready for the next tenant in one pass.
